Accident Prevention and Injury Avoidance
We are all well aware that accidents are inevitable. But in hindsight it may be realized that most of them are avoidable too. With a little bit of care and with a little bit of patience perhaps most victims of road accidents would be alive today. And many others would have been spared the ignominy of being handicapped for the rest of their lives. And their loved ones would have been spared the pain and parting.
The situation is grim and calls for efforts from all quarters if accidents and its damaging impacts are to be kept to a minimum. And the only way to bring about a noticeable check on the loss of human lives every day and the colossal losses associated is to scrupulously practice precaution. Opting for precautionary and preventive measures alone can bring down the number of ghastly accidents and trauma.
At traffictales.net we believe our mission would have been accomplished if we can succeed in bringing about the sort of awareness that would help change the attitude of an erring driver each day, be instrumental in the prevention of an accident each day, result in saving the life of a human each day and help inculcate safety practices that help eliminate a possible injury from an accident each day. And someone, somewhere in some city adding his bit for a safer trip on the road would mean our purpose has been fulfilled.
We just cannot afford to return to the jungles anymore; where it is the survival of the fittest. We are in an age where science has made it possible to bring life back to people from the brink of death. Most diseases have been made curable. Most physical incapacities that may have occurred in humans have been diagnosed and restored by reengineering and technological innovations. Millions are being spent to save a single child at times and people fly across continents to extend the life of their sick and dependant family members. There are worldwide institutions to attend to the needs of the disabled and differently able persons.
On the other hand we are losing people who are budding youngsters, promising students, professionals, bread winners, family heads, scientists, doctors, engineers, housewives, husbands, wives, businessmen, priests to the wiles and guile that are thrust on the people by our roads. This has to stop and stop immediately. Let there be propaganda and campaigns to achieve this. Everyone needs help to achieve this and everyone will help to achieve this. And it is all in our own interests. Let us follow precautions and take care!
