Parking & Pathetic Roads! The Indiscriminate Parking of vehicles on road leads to accidents. These include parking of vehicles within the limits of a pedestrian crossing, wherever signs or curb markings indicate that parking is prohibited or restricted and failing to comply with the regulations.
When vehicles are parked harp-hazardously, they force other road user also to divert from their lanes or roads and move towards gaps and clearance available on the road. When this happens it obstructs the movement of other vehicles.
In developing countries very, often one would find vehicles parked in organized manner on the side of highways / roads near vulcanizing shops. A number of trucks are parked near fast food joints, petty shops, kiosks and near gas filling stations.
The trucks and trailers parked on highways consume much of road space meant for highway traffic. Indiscriminate parking clogs the roads. And the truckers fail to use taillight, indicators and hazard lamps often leads to accidents.
This kind of conditions is very prevalent in developing countries where laying of proper highways is still underway and traffic rules and regulations are not being enforced effectively. |
