Life & Death... Protection Makes the Difference! Most people who use the safety belts survive an accident. Very often during a collision or an accident passengers inside a moving or even a stationary vehicle are displaced from their seats. As they are thrown out of their seats, sometimes violently, they collide with the seats or the windscreen in front or the doors and even with fellow passengers. Sometimes the passenger are just flung outside on to the road in an impact. The impact could cause serious injuries including death.
In under developed countries usage of seat belts is generally very low - especially on rear seats where seat belts might not even be fitted. Occupants of a car just do not care about safety precautions. They just do not seem to visualize a potential accident to their vehicle. They are perhaps oblivious of the possibility that their vehicle can get involved in an accident and that there is every possibility that they may be injured or even die in the mishap. They are simply safety conscious and perhaps do not value their life as much as it is done in the developed countries.
Similarly the use of child restraints in motor vehicles is simply non-existent in underdeveloped and developing countries. There is neither awareness nor a legislation to regulate such a safety measure. All these are responsible for high incidence of grave injuries and deaths resulting from road accidents.
